This shout - out comes with an enigmatic saying that a personal mentor said to me, "I would rather be put to death than taught to death." Words mean things and nothing will not SHIFT DC. Poetry is a wonderful expression of the heart. teaching is for the mind and heart as well. Worship in the SPIRIT will greatly enhance the discovery of the aforementioned. DC must SHIFT. Let us begin with JOHN 4:23-24, "God is Spirit and He seeks those who worship Him in Spirit and Truth." Your artistic worship will cause DC to SHIFT. It is so, because it is promised. Worship involves hearing God and doing it. Therfore, GO FOR IT!. Worship JESUS with all your might!! If you want to post that expression here then EMAIL it. The Gate DC and WAVA 105.1 FM presented the Rock N Roll Worship Circus at Chevy Chase Baptist Church. It was a very cool rockin' worship event. Together witht he band the audience spontaneously prayed for Unity, an Open Heaven, and Jesus to be worshipped first in our city.

Current Vision For DC
It is a current vison in two aspects, time being the obvious and the picture being the other reason. I recently started again St. Augustine's, The City of God. I say "again" because last time I never finshed it. It is a detailed book that explains the fundamentals of Christian society in a vast philosophically desript manner. The beginning of the book speaks to the "sacking of Rome." Augustine makes the point that during the war both enemy and friends of Christ found safe haven in the Christian church buildings. None were overrun and the people were unharmed. He further points to the lack of safeguard for life among the Roman and Greek gods' places of worship citing the poet Virgil and many historians. Recently, at church a worshipper began singing spontaneously about the heavenly city of God and the river that came forth from its land. I was struck by the word of mercy she used to describe the City referenced in John's Revelation. I listened intently and heard of Jesus' safe haven in the kingdom. Then in my heart Jesus gave me a picture of the river coming forth from the City of God. It was moving with a wild and untamed ferocious current. In its tumbling waters pushing forth were golden flakes so intense it colored the water gold. I saw the banks and trees receive the golden washing as the current swept onward. With a magnificent crash, the river hit the sea with force at its mouth. I then saw the ocean begin to change color from blue to gold and I pictured golden waves from the sea crashing coastal shores. I heard the word "golden harvest." A women later read from Ezekiel 47 which spoke of the river and the healing of God. What majesty to know that God will break forth from his city into mine bringing healing to the nations and peoples represented in DC. It will be a gospel with power and might saving with the wonderful mercy of his everlasting word. Seek it. Pray it. Ask it. Speak it. Watch it be performed. EMAIL.
